KIIN'S FOUNDATION

Kiin is less a single brand and more a family of connected projects. Each one has its own role, but they’re all built to support each other — sharing materials, ideas, and purpose. The name comes from “kin,” because nothing here stands alone; everything is stronger through its connection. A lot of what’s made across Naamio, Ned, Salvillage, and ODAAT starts with recycled or overlooked materials, which naturally feeds back into the system. Because of that, KIIN works more like an ecosystem — one that can grow and sustain itself by reusing, reshaping, and building from what’s already there.

THE BRAND FAMILY

This project is called Kiin for a reason. Each brand is connected by core values and bonded by what makes them unique - that makes them a family.

Kiin day-dreams big, sees individuality before identity, potential in the unconventional and the future in beginnings. It’s open, accepting but most importantly authentic - it values that above mostly everything else.

Kiin places the rest of its value in loyalty. The loyalty it has to its reputation, to always creating and to the strong bonds it forms. Kiin takes its relationships seriously and who it connects with is evident of that.

Salvillage is an architect in its mind, a designer in the way it operates and a leader in the way it communicates. Like a resilient piece of clay, Salvillage adapts and responds to its environment whilst remaining true to itself.

It takes its time because it’s dedicated to the process and prefers woring with old things over new because it wants to be a part of the objects history in some way. Salvillage wants to stand out because it knows representing what resourceful design looks like when it’s fully embraced is important .

SM/LE is a teacher, an eye opener, a finder of rarities. It’s not what it finds that’s rare though, but who it hands them to. SM/LE is always coming up with ways to protect the ecosystem, keep it self-sustaining and accountable. Innovation is second nature, generosity is the default and re-purposing is the purpose.

Kiinshop is the figurative helping hand, the motivation and the glue. A natural collaborator, Kiinshop embodies a little of anyone it chooses to connect with and produces new solutions, fresh perspectives and open minds as a result.

Kiinshop prioritises balanced relationships and believes you should give as much as you take if not more. Kiinshop uses its hands in a unique way. They reach far, intentionally and against the flow. They use them to embrace the odd, hold onto what truly matters and build doors anyone can walk through.

NAAMIO is the pause before vulnerability. It’s a safe haven for the self doubters and the burnt out. It doesn’t hold space for those things to fester but to understand them by embracing what makes them honest. Feedback is an art-form for NAAMIO but so is self expression. It leaves them both open to interpretation because taking what’s often withheld or hidden and turning it into something you can’t help but acknowledge is how NAMMIO redefines the blank canvas.

ODAAT is the quiet planner, the one that approaches things methodically - the strong willed, introspective one. A companion at heart, it listens more than it speaks so when it responds, each word is intentional and understanding. ODAAT is the deep thought provoker, the compassionate communicator and the self aware protector. It could lead but it knows it was meant to find and uplift those going their own way.

LHAF is the understanding tone, the hand on the slumped shoulder and the kind words spoken at the exact time they’re needed. It compassionately reframes criticism, tears down insecure walls and builds strong foundations in their place. LHAF uproots doubted potential, forgotten goals and buried identity so what’s built in their place stands to its fullest potential.

COUP represents what it means to move with purpose in a crowd and its purpose is to connect people. It doesn't light up the room when it enters, it understands that iridescence is only possible when you allow others to shine around you. The connections COUP sets out to make aren’t done out of obligation but necessity. Without them we’re all just plugs and sockets. If knowing who you are and what only you can offer is the switch then COUP intends to flip it on for everyone it comes into contact with.

Ned is the discerning one, the problem solver, and the one that sees the tiny, embroidered symbols in the overlooked tapestry. Ned wears its authenticity on its sleeve but it doesn’t do it to stand out but to encourage others to do the same. Ned wants to look around and see individuality, hear unique voices so it can listen to the stories they have to tell but most importantly, it wants to reach out and touch the lives of those who need to feel noticed.
